Victor Hernandez entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior peacefully on September 1st 2026 after 96 beautiful years. He lived a life defined by hard work, deep laughter, and quiet devotion to those he loved.
Beyond his daily work, Victor found his greatest joy in the simple moments of life. Whether he was working on a math equation, conjugations, crafting, inventing a new gadget, or sharing stories from years gone by, he had a special gift for making everyone around him feel safe and welcome. He was a man who measured his life not in accomplishments, but in relationships.
He is survived by his 4 children, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brother, 2 sisters and nieces and nephews who will forever carry his wisdom in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his first wife Maria and his second wife of 64 years of marriage Patria.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him but they take comfort in knowing he is rejoicing in heaven.
Reposing Monday, September 7th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Tuesday, September 8th at Our Lady of Esperanza Church, 624 West 156st Street NYC. Entombment at Trinity Church Cemetery, NYC.
