Shirley Ann Seaborn

March 31, 2026 Jeffrey Wiecek

Shirley Ann Seaborn, 79, of the Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2026.

Shirley was a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters, Sharis Ebony and Ronda Loren, and the proud and adoring grandmother of Christopher Kelan, Dillon Rey, Rosalie Drea and Cameron Kaori. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into nurturing, guiding and supporting those she loved.

She was predeceased by her brother, Theodore Phillip, sister, Doriane Christine and her father Charles Solomon and is survived by her mother, Arlanda Solomon, her former spouse, Ronald Seaborn, seven siblings; Charles Henry, Melchesidec, Daria Gaye, Jonathan Hosea, Arlana Patrice, Andra Elaine and Lisabeth Colleen as well as many nieces and nephews.

After working at Bantam Books Publishing House for over a decade, Shirley built a meaningful career as a credit counselor, where she used her knowledge and compassion to help others navigate difficult financial situations. She was known for her generosity, her willingness to help and her ability to offer steady guidance during uncertain times.

Outside of her work, Shirley found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She enjoyed preparing for family gatherings and was a wonderful cook. She loved cats, delighted in Broadway shows, and had a keen wit and wonderfully quirky sense of humor. She had a remarkable resilience and resourcefulness and her strength, kindness and wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Shirley will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, her laughter, and the deep love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering for Shirley which will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY 10471.
