Patricia Cronin

April 19, 1944 – February 14, 2026

Patricia (Patty) Cronin passed away on February 14, 2026, leaving behind a life of friendship, love, and dedication to teaching.

Born in Los Angeles to Webb and Rita Stewart on April 19, 1944, Patricia was the older sister to Larry and Christine. She attended Santa Clara College, where she built friendships that would last a lifetime.

Patty began her career in teaching — a profession she loved deeply and devoted most of her life to. She had a natural gift for nurturing young minds and hearts and formed lasting connections with students, families, and colleagues throughout her life.

What she originally planned as a temporary move to New York City in the years after college would end up shaping the rest of her life. New York is where she met her husband, Dennis, and together they put down roots in the Bronx. Patty loved so much about New York City: Broadway shows and art exhibits, the Bryant Park Christmas shops, Restaurant Week, and the Yankees.

More than just a career, Patty was deeply embedded in the Incarnation School community. She poured her heart into her work and her Incarnation friendships, ultimately finding special joy in the Incarnation Library. She had a natural gift for connecting with children through books and storytelling.

Above all else, Patty loved her family. She adored her husband, Dennis, and her children, Tim and Annie. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being a playful Grammy to her sweet grandson Jack.

Patty’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and the love she shared with her friends, neighbors, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave., Bronx New York. Committal is private.
