John J. O’Sullivan, age 70, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026.
Born on October 13, 1955, in New York City, Johnny was known for his humor, kindness, storytelling, and unwavering love for family, friends, and animals. He enjoyed reading and touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He also had a deep passion for the place where he was born and raised, Riverdale, Bronx, proudly calling it home throughout his entire life. He cherished its people and familiar places, and it was a defining part of who he was.
John is survived by his brother, Thomas; his niece and nephews, Tracy, Danielle, and Michael O’Sullivan; and his grand-niece and grand-nephews, Peter, Harrison, Gillian, and Andrew Manesis, and Jackson O’Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Donna O’Sullivan, and his brothers, Dennis and Daniel O’Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAWS in Elmsford, NY.
Johnny will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11th from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave. Interment to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
