Bruce Eliot Levine Sr.

June 22, 2026 Jeffrey Wiecek

It is with immense sadness and love that we mourn the passing of Bruce Eliot Levine Sr., of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on June 22, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born on July 25, 1960, in Queens, NYC, he was the beloved son of Adele Gorenstein. He lived a full and remarkable life, bringing warmth and joy to everyone he met. Bruce was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Bruce was a skilled carpenter by trade. Beyond his military service, he was known for his enormous love for his children, his dedication to rescuing animals, and his kind-hearted, warm spirit. He was always willing to help anyone going through difficult times; he truly had a heart of gold.

Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his children: Laura (Andrew), Johanna (Megan), and Bruce Jr. (Lei Anna), along with his cherished grandchildren, Leila and Anaid. He was predeceased by his mother, Adele Gorenstein; his sister, Nanette Levine; and his treasured grandparents, Samuel and Yetta Gorenstein.

Reposing Tuesday, June 30th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 1st at St. Margaret’s Church at 9:45 AM. Committal to be private.

All who knew and loved Bruce are invited to attend to share stories, reminisce, and honor his meaningful life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bruce Levine's name to Soldier On.

A soldier’s prayer, whispered in the night,

For strength to stand, for courage to fight.

They served with faith, their heart so pure,

For freedom’s hope, they did endure.

Now in God’s arms, they find their rest,

A hero’s soul, forever blessed.

Their sacrifice, a sacred flame,

Forever etched in honor’s name.
