Millie Gilliamsen peacefully passed away on June 2nd after spending her final days surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the Bronx on Easter Sunday 1936, the middle child of James and Mildred Kehoe. She was the devoted sister of the late Ellen O'Sullivan and Grace Kehoe. She is survived by her daughter Vicki, her son in law Tony and grandson Andrew.
She spent her lifetime in the Bronx and loved New York City. In her early career she worked in banking and advertising. After raising her daughter Vicki, she went back to work as a home health aide and dedicated her time to assisting the elderly and sick.
She had a heart filled with love and compassion and advocated for human rights and the disabled. She valued simplicity and got great joy out of the simple things in life such as spending time with friends and enjoyed her activities in Church and senior centers.
She will be forever missed by her family and friends.
Reposing Monday, June 9th from 8:30 - 10:30 am at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am at St. Brendan’s, 333 E 206th St, Bronx, NY. Interment to follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
