Abraham Rivera, aged 52, passed away on April 8, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Adriana Korb, his mother, Madeline Liu, and his father, Abraham Rivera and stepfather, Zayd Khaliq. Mr. Rivera was a family member remembered by many relatives and friends.
Since 2019, Mr. Rivera served as the Incident Commander for New York City's Cyber Command. His career encompasses consultancy leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Investment Bank, and Morgan Stanley. Additionally, he held the position of Executive of IT and Investigative Operations and served as a peace officer with the NYC Department of Investigation. In academia, he worked as Adjunct Lecturer at John Jay College and Bronx Community College, teaching courses in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, and Public Administration. He also founded and managed Watchdog Forensics, LLC, a firm specializing in forensic investigations.
Mr. Rivera earned widespread respect for his dedication, intelligence, humor, and leadership. He graduated Cum Laude from City College of New York and obtained a Master's in Public Administration from John Jay College.
Mr. Rivera, born on December 29, 1972, in the Bronx NY, deeply valued his city, friends, family, and pets: Tango Whiskey, and Baby. He appreciated music and film, enjoyed celebrating others, and had a distinctive sense of fashion, consistently serving as a positive role model.
Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Friday, April 25th, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home. No interment will take place.
