Michael Carey beloved father, brother, son, uncle, great uncle and friend to many, passed away on 9/2/2024.
Michael was a valued member of the Riverdale community where he spent most of his life. With over 20 years in the Carpenters Union Local 608 Michael was forced to retire due to illness. Despite his illness when physically capable Michael generously volunteered his time at the Westchester Miracle League and the Inwood 911 Memorial Garden. Michael had aspirations to be a comedian and anyone who ever met him could attest he would always leave you laughing. Michael was pre deceased by sisters Kerry Ann and Maureen and survived by siblings James, John, Margaret (Peggy) Joseph, Theresa, Stephen, Colleen, and many nieces, nephews. As well as his longtime partner Angela and her son Anthony.
Michaels greatest loves were his two children Kerianne and Michael (Mikey) who will forever cherish and celebrate his memory.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 22th 2024 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Committal private.
