Constance “Connie” Grassi

October 14, 2022 Jeffrey Wiecek

Constance “Connie” Grassi was born April 19, 1934 in Yonkers, NY.  She lived in Bronxville since 1963, and was known for loving the color pink – clothes, walls, furniture: pink.

Connie loved to be busy.  She worked at the pharmacy at Lawrence Hospital long passed the time most people would have retired.  She enjoyed keeping her mind busy, and she loved her coworkers.  Even when she retired, she continued volunteering at the pharmacy for as long as she could.

Connie and her husband, Frank were both very social people.  They enjoyed golfing at Leewood and going out to dinner with friends.  She was always a gracious guest at family gatherings – birthdays, Sunday dinners and holidays.  She made the best homemade cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving.

Connie had fought through a number of illnesses in the last few years,  and battled back with determination and a great attitude.  Unfortunately, she passed away on October 14, 2022 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1 Hudson Street, Yonkers, NY  10701.

In lieu of flowers, those interested can make a donation in Connie’s name to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1 Hudson Street, Yonkers, NY  10701.
