NICOLAS "NICK" J. LEVITSKY - Beloved son, brother, nephew and friend.

Nicolas Jose Levitsky was born on August 6, 1975 to Nicolas Levitsky and Rosalinda [Abad] in New York. A lifelong Bronxite, Nick graduated from St. Raymond's High School for Boys in 1992. Nick was an assistant film editor with both Burning Concepts and Firebrand Productions, film production companies specializing in television and union productions respectively. Nick was a composer of musical sampling and a painter. Nick enjoyed cooking and was fond of developing his own pickling recipes. He had a great love for most things sci-fi, Star Wars and The Matrix, video games, hip hop music and the artist Bob Ross.

A lifelong student, he embraced his mother's love of ancient civilizations and cultures and they shared a fondness for the tv show "Ancient Aliens." Nick was well-known and well-loved in his co-op complex, always holding doors for people, helping with groceries, working in his garden plot and assisting in small handyman projects for his neighbors. He had a big heart, a big personality and a great sense of humor.

After a brief hospitalization and illness, Nicolas succumbed to kidney and liver failure on June 1, 2021.
Nick was predeceased by his father, Nicolas. Nick is survived by his mother Rosalinda, his sister Victoria, his brother-in-law Matthew Buckenberger, his uncle Jose Abad and his step-father Robert Jubin. Nick's corneas were donated to the New York Eye Bank for transplant.

In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a financial donation in Nick's name to the Make A Wish Foundation or to the New York Eye Bank.
