Norinne passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 16, 2021. She is survived by her six daughters; Jane, Lisa, Christine, Kathryn, Norinne and Sheila. She is predeceased by her husband John Costello. She was a grandmother of eight; Skye, Kelsey, Andrew, Morgan, Courtney, Connor, Madeline and Claire.
Norinne was a long time employee of Columbia-New York Presbyterian Hospital from 1970 until she retired in 2007. Norinne was a resident of Riverdale for 16 years and leaves behind many friends and acquaintances. Prior to her moving with her husband to Riverdale, she was a long time resident and parishioner of the Good Shepherd Parish. Norinne enjoyed her time with her girls and their families, her get togethers with her girlfriends in Inwood and loved to travel anywhere she could. Norinne was a lover of reading books, the history channel and BBC television.
Mass will be held for Norinne on March 12, 2021 at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church at 10:00am. (Facial coverings and adherence to social distancing is in effect at St. Gabriel’s).
