CURTIN — Carol (nee Mahoney) passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long illness on September 30, 2021. Nanny was a devoted wife of husband Ken (deceased) and beloved mother of Ellen (John), Jean (Tom), Maureen, Kenneth (Lara), and Meghan (Jim). Proud grandmother of Peter (Jess), Heather, Taylor, Jack, Lily, Conor, Christian, Olivia, Charlie and the late baby Patrick. Loving sister of Alice, Eleanor, and Jean and aunt and friend to many. Carol was a great singer and fan of Irish music, old movies, bingo, cards, trivia and game shows. Long-time resident of Riverdale. Retired after 30 years from the Riverdale Neighborhood House. Reposing Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2-6 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, Oct. 6, 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to First Candle or Wounded Warriors.
