Victor M. Cruz, “Wico”, a man defined by his commitment to his family, strong work ethic and character passed away on June 22nd, 2020 due to complications from heart disease. He was 82 years old. Victor grew up in Puerto Rico with his 4 brothers and 3 sisters. At the age of 18, he came to the United States in search of new opportunities. He met his future wife of 44 years, Nilda, in New York City and together raised their son, Victor, and daughters, Venessa and Valerie. He was a loyal son, caring brother, a devoted husband, amazing father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was always a gentleman and carried himself with dignity in everything he did from the way he treated people to the way he cherished his family. His spirit is carried on by his 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 surviving siblings and extended family and friends from every walk of life. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Family will gather at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home on Monday, June 29th from 11 am- 12 noon, followed by the interment at Ferncliff Cemetery at 1pm.
