Pauline O'Donovan passed away on July 24, 2018.  She was 78 years old.  She was born in the Bronx on September 10, 1939 to Nellie (Carey) and Daniel O'Donovan.  The youngest of five children, she grew up in a loving Irish Catholic family. She is survived by sister Eileen Smith and brother Gerald O'Donovan and sister-in-law Eileen O'Donovan and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by loving friends Ann Padulchick, Kathleen McCarthy, Peggy Greene, Katie and Ann McGloin, Lorraine Peters, Carol and Marilyn Sawicki and Mary McCutchan. She was predeceased by her sister Mary McGuinness and brother John O'Donovan and brothers-in-law Patrick Smith and John McGuinness.

Pauline graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx. She worked for Milliken Inc. for over 50 years as an executive secretary.  She loved to travel with her friends and the beach was a favorite destination. You could find her out at Robert Moses State Park nearly every weekend in the summer with her sister, Eileen.  She was a very happy person who liked to be with friends and family. At family gatherings such as holiday dinners, picnics and beach vacations Pauline loved being surrounded by her nieces and nephews and they loved being in her company. Pauline was so much fun to be around. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue Bronx, New York on  Friday July 27, 2018 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:45am on Saturday July 28, 2018 at St Margaret of Cortona Church. Interment to follow at St Raymond's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Embracing Hospice State Care Rt 138 Bld. DF Wall, New Jersey 07719 would be appreciated.
