Mary Lynch (née Fahey) at the age of 85 passed away February 12, 2018. She was born in 1932 in the Nire Valley, Ballymacarberry Co. Waterford, Ireland to Denis and Kathleen Fahey. She grew up in Windgap outside Carrick on Suir the eldest of 12. In 1948 at the age of 16, she immigrated to the USA where she met her husband Joseph Lynch whom she married in 1956.
She is predeceased by her husband Joe, son Brian ,grandson Edmond, her siblings Jimmy, Eddie, and Martin. She is survived by her children Michael (his wife Veronica), Dennis (his wife Linda) Joseph (his wife Mary), Jean Marie Cassidy (her husband Charles), grandchildren Michael, Maggie and Shannon Normoyle and siblings Peggy, Pat, Kathleen, Helen, Denny, John and Tommy. She was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She opened her heart and home to countless family and friends within a moments notice. Food, love and laughter could always be found with abundance in her home.
Reposing Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday at St. Gabriel's Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Memorial Sloan Kettering or St Gabriel’s School and Church
