John J. Lyons only son to Elizabeth & John Lyons was born on November 15th, 1956 and went home to heaven on December 25th, 2018; he was 62 years old. John was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and cousin. He attended St. Elizabeth's elementary school, Bishop Dubois High School and Pace University. John was an avid learner, his unquenchable thirst for world knowledge and facts constantly kept John reading and sharing his wealth of knowledge with his family. John was an amazing uncle to his 2 nieces and 3 nephews that he treated like his own children. John is survived by his sisters Elizabeth, Theresa, and Barbara; nieces and nephews Nina, Austin, Joey, Devin and Kira. He was called home to the kingdom of Heaven to soon and shall be dearly missed by all. The wake will be held on Thursday January 3rd 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, January 4th 2019 at 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
