Selma Schwartz, Born - October 12, 1923 Died - August 15, 2017.
Selma grew up in the Bronx and lived in the Riverdale area for most of her life, before relocating to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2012. She worked as a therapist at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale, and worked with handicapped children with her husband, Seymour.
She is predeceased by her husband Seymour Schwartz, her brother Ed Himmelstein and Sister Gail Ulrich, and was the daughter of Rose Reikes and Jacob Himmelstein.
Selma is survived by her sons, Jack Schwartz and his wife Ruthof Winslow, Arizona, and Alan Schwartz and his wife Robin of Tampa, Florida. She was a grandmother to Becky and Shelley Schwartz of Tucson, Arizona, agreat grandmother to Madi and Rorey of Tucson, Arizona, and an aunt and great aunt to many others.
Gravesite services and burial will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 11am at Mount Hebron Cemetery, 130-04 Horace Harding Expressway, Flushing, NY 11367.
