Peter Fuentes

April 29, 2026 Jeffrey Wiecek

Peter Fuentes of the Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026.

Peter was a devoted son, grandson, godson, cousin, uncle, godfather, and friend. Born in New York City and raised in Manhattan and Queens, he carried deep pride in his roots and in the community that helped shape him.

He attended Archbishop Molloy High School, a respected all-boys Catholic, Marist college-preparatory school in Briarwood, Queens. He later continued his education at Barry University, a Catholic university in Miami Shores, Florida, where he attended on scholarship.

In October 2003, Peter answered the call to serve and joined the United States Army. He was honorably discharged and was a 100% service-connected veteran. His willingness to serve reflects his courage and commitment to something greater than himself.

Peter will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and connection to family and friends alike, and his memory will be carried forward with deep love.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave. Committal will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor.
