Gloria Ellerbusch

Gloria Ellerbusch, age 94 of The Bronx, passed away at Brandywine Assisted Living in Queens on January 21, 2025. Gloria was born in The Bronx, New York on November 27,1930 to Anna and Arthur Meenagh. She attended Saint Simon Stock High School, followed by Business School.

Gloria married Henry (Whitey) Ellerbusch in 1952 and were married 50 years. She worked in banking for many years before retiring. She enjoyed going out to eat, especially Patrizia's in Woodlawn. Gloria also cherished traveling with her husband and three sisters, Virginia, Anna and Joan. Whale watching in Gloucester, MA was one of her favorite trips. She was a big fan of Judge Judy, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Finding Your Roots. She was a proud member of Saint Gabriel's Parish and generous to many Catholic organizations. Gloria is survived by her five nephews, William (Janie), John, Daniel (Jill), Richard (Anne) and Edward (Elena), five grandnieces and grandnephews and one great-grandniece. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, and sisters,Virgina Regan, Anna Meenagh and Joan Gaillard

Wake services will be held at Riverdale-on-Hudson on Monday, January 27 from 3-7 pm. The funeral mass will be at St. Gabriel parish on Tuesday, January 28 at 10am. Gloria will then be laid to rest next to her husband at Calverton National Cemetery.
