Gioia Paula O’Connor died peacefully on August 8th, 2022.
Born in New York City to Paul and Gioia (Paretti) Cipriani, Gioia was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, James, their children James (Tammy), Paul (Audrey), and Gioia. Gioia was an adoring grandmother to Stephanie and James.
She is also survived by her sister AnnMarie Hughes (Robert), her brother Paul, her niece Jacqueline, her nephew Robert (Diana) and many loving cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her best friend, Winnie Liriano.
Gioia spent her life surrounded by family. She spread kindness and love to all that were lucky enough to know her.
Visitation will take place at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave. Bronx, NY on Sunday, August 14th from 3-6 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue Bronx, NY on Monday August 15th at 9:45 am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
