Lexey Alfonso Cameron ("Cammie" or "Budus”) as he was affectionately called, was born July 27,1946 in Kingston, Jamaica to parents Gladston and Ruby Cameron. Lexey was raised with his three siblings Violet Cameron, Margreth Dunbar and Winston Cameron. He attended College of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST), now called the University of Technology; where he acquired his credentials in Architectural Design in 1964.
Lexey migrated to the United States in 1979 and lived in Los Angeles for a short period of time before relocating to New York City. He worked for the Switzer Group where he was an exceptional Architect. When the company closed, he started his own company, Lexey Cameron & Associates. He was extremely intelligent, smart, and outgoing.
Lexey enjoyed a lot of things in life: karate (he was a black belt), cooking, going to the beach with family, cars, watches and listening to music. Two of his favorite artists were Frankie Paul and Alton Ellis. He also loved reading and listening to the Jamaican news. His laughter filled the room when he shared stories from his past. He was a great fun loving Husband, Dad, and Friend. He gave great advice and encouragement. He was easy going and very charismatic. His mannerism was exceptional. Lexey always put pride in his appearance, and he taught us all to do the very same.
Lexey is survived by his wife Mrs. Claire Cameron and her daughter Nicole Dionne Pugh and children from a previous union: Gary "Junior" Cameron, Ann-Marie Cameron, Shawn Cameron, Simone “Suzie" Cameron and siblings, Violet, and Winston Cameron, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, friends and associates.

10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness; 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever. Psalm 30:10-12 KJV)
