Harold "Sonny" Hall

January 13, 2022 Jeffrey Wiecek

Harold "Sonny" Hall, former TWU Local 100 President and International Union – one of TWU’s most memorable and charismatic leaders – has died at the age of 89. Sonny passed away peacefully in hospice care on January 13, 2021.

For those of us lucky enough to be part of his life, Sonny will be remembered for his love, kindness and commitment to family and friends. He lived his life dedicated to those he loved.  Family vacations, holiday gatherings, summers in Sag Harbor, fishing trips and any activity involving his grandchildren were the true blessings in his later life.

Sonny's family has a saying, "Everyone should have an Uncle Sonny in their lives." The family is overwhelmed with fond remembrances from his friends and co-workers about how much Sonny meant to them in their lives -- he helped so many people and touched so many lives.

Sonny is predeceased by his wife, Maureen, and son, Kevin. He is survived by his granddaughters Skyler, Kolby, his daugher-in-law Shari, and his nieces, Patricia and Suzanne.

Reposing Wednesday, January 19th 2022 from 2-5 pm pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 20th 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the Hall Family requests donations to the TWU Local 100 Widows and Orphans Fund.http://www.twulocal100.org/widows-orphans-fund
