Kichang Lee

July 3, 2021 Jeffrey Wiecek
Kichang Lee (1).jpg

Kichang Lee passed away on July 3, 2021, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on April 2, 1938 to Min Suk Lee and Nan Chun Park just outside of Seoul, Korea. He was the second of three sons and three daughters, and grew up during the postwar era in South Korea. He was a prolific reader, an astute baduk player, a gifted artist, and an avid lover of classical music. He had a great passion for learning, from mitochondria to the big bang theory and everything in between. But most importantly, he was known as a devoted family man and he cherished spending time with his family. Kichang Lee will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Youngja Lee; daughter Jeeyun Lee and her husband John Wriggle; daughter Jeesoo Lee; daughter Sun Ae Lee and her husband François Lardeau; and son Seung Jin Lee and his wife Nellie Sung; and three loving grandchildren, Abigail Wonhae, Madeline Wonmee, and Emmett Wonjin.

Reposing July 7, 2021 from 1-4 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Committal private.
