Kathleen A. Clancy “Katie” passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Home in the Bronx.

Daughter of the late Henry and Agnus (nee Lavin) King.  Katie was born in Washington Heights, New York City on July 22, 1935.  She graduated from Mother Cabrini High School.  She married her beloved husband John, and they raised their family in Inwood, New York City.  She worked at Golddome Bank, Sloane Kettering Cancer Center and Manhattan College.  After she retired, she volunteered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  Her most cherished role was being a Mother and Grandmother.

She loved and enjoyed participating in many activities and parties in Inwood and Good Shepherd parish.  She also loved all the family reunions and family parties.  She always prioritized the needs of her children and loved and adored her grandchildren.

Those who knew Katie appreciated her smiling face and her ability to speak with anyone and make them feel comfortable.  She enjoyed being with her friends in Inwood.  She also enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City or any nearby casino.

Katie is predeceased by her husband John.  She was a loving Mother to Patricia, Kathleen, Anne (Brendan) Kelly, Elizabeth (Frank) Koehler, Christine, Maureen (Christopher) Pierpont and Thomas. She was a cherished Grandmother to Kaitlyn, Melissa, and Brian. Dear Sister to the late Agnus Dunn Smith, Letitia Ragno and Henry King.  She is survived by her brother Jimmy (Penny) King and sister-in-law Jeanette King.  She is also remembered as a devoted Aunt and Friend to many.

To honor Katie’s life, family and friends will gather on Thursday, May 6th from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave., Bronx NY 10471.  Mass of Christian Burial, Friday May 7th at 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
