Paul J. D'Ambrosio

Paul J D’Ambrosio passed away peacefully on October 30, 2021 while at his home in Hampton Bays, NY. The love of Paul’s life, Jane, predeceased him on November 10, 2013. Paul was born on June 21, 1946 to Robert and Jean D’Ambrosio in Riverdale, NY where he was born and raised with brother Bobby and sisters Ann and Monica. Paul joined the US Army in 1968 and proudly served his country in Vietnam until his honorable discharge in June 1972. Paul married Jane Wells on August 24, 1984 after a loving and fun eight year courtship. Paul was the successful owner of Hudson’s on Riverdale Ave. He had many life long and cherished friends from the NYC, Riverdale and Hamptons areas. Paul was an avid golfer who loved the beach, socializing with friends, and caring for his hydrangeas at his Hamptons retreat. Paul will be sorely missed and is survived by his sister, Ann LaWall of Southampton, NY; nephew Kevin Kiernan and grandniece Kaitlin of Atlanta, GA; nieces Theresa and Kristen Kiernan of Southampton, NY; sister Monica and brother-in-law Vlad Mihailoff of Southbury, CT; nieces Joanna Mihailoff and Susan Rubright Cortez; sister and brother-in-law Joan and George Maybury; nieces Danielle Fryer, Jane Coyle and Joanie Kain; sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Robert Saunders.

Visitation for Paul will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 2-6pm at Riverdale on Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY 10471. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Monday at St. Margaret’s of Cortona Roman Catholic Church, 6000 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY 10471. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

Due to COVID restrictions, masks are suggested, and time is restricted.
