John M. McGuinness of Riverdale, NY passed away peacefully on January 20, 2020 after a long illness. Predeceased by his parents, John and Mary McGuinness, brother, James P. McGuinness and son, Brian McGuinness. He leaves behind his wife, Madeline McGuinness, son, John Michael (Lena Adely) McGuinness and sisters Sheila (Alfred) Alagia and Susan (Patrick) Toner.
John proudly worked at the MTA for over 30 years. He was an avid NY Rangers fan and enjoyed playing goalie for a number of leagues through the years. He will be missed tremendously by friends and family.
Reposing Thursday, January 23th 2020 from 4-8 pm pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Friday January 24th at 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY. Interment to follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery.
