Louis Olivieri

Louis Olivieri, 78, of Yonkers, NY passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 11:56 am at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx.

He leaves; his son, Jean-Louis Olivieri and his wife, Sabera with their children, Bryan, Aaron, and Anisa; his daughter Cami Olivieri and her husband Eugene Mornard with their two children, Stephanie and Nicholas; his daughter, Jennifer Norton and her husband Daniel and their children, Kyle, Jennifer and Emma; two great grandchildren, Luciano and Isabella; his sister Anna Marie Olivieri; and many other close family and friends.

Louis was born and raised in the Bronx, and has lived in Yonkers for the last 46 years.

After graduating from Cardinal Hayes High School in 1958, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  After his active duty in Hawaii, he returned to New York and began working for the United State Postal Service, and then as a Telecom Technician and Manager at AT&T until he retired in 1990.  After that Louis finished his career working at St. Thomas Aquinas College for a number of years in Telecom.

He loved the country during the summer months and often visited the Berkshires or Richfield Springs, NY.  He loved to fish and spend time with his children and their families.

The wake will be held on Thursday, March 28th 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue Bronx, NY.   Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 29th 2019 at 9:45am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church Bronx at 6000 Riverdale Avenue.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery (First Calvary between Sections 7 and 49) in Woodside, NY.
