Marty McLaughlin

Marty Mclaughlin, age 63, of Riverdale, New York, passed away on Monday, September 3rd, 2018 in Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, NY, of complications from pneumonia.  Marty  was born on October 23, 1954 in New York City to the late Bert and Eileen (nee Harwood) McLaughlin.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy (nee Courtney), his brother Joseph McLaughlin of New York, NY,  brother Eugene McLaughlin and wife Rita of Stratford, Canada, sister Nancy Spear of Washingtonville, New York, and  sister Monica and husband Dennis Keane of Yonkers, NY.  In addition to his beloved parents, Marty is predeceased by his brother Paul McLaughlin.  Marty is also  left behind by 16 loving nieces and nephews (whom he adored dearly.)

 Marty was raised in Riverdale, NY, educated at Saint Margaret of Cortona School and Bishop Dubois High School in the New York City.  He was a lover of Yankee baseball and NCAA basketball tournaments.  Marty also had many life long friends that were an important part of his life.  Marty’s favorite activity was walking his beloved dog, Jacy, along the Hudson River.

Calling hours will be Friday, September 7th, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:45 am Saturday, September 8th at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, Bronx, NY.
