Richard Michael McNally

March 22, 2018 Jeffrey Wiecek

Richard Michael McNally – known affectionately to his friends and family as “Big Rich”, “Big” and Poppie” - was born on July 22, 2952 in Manhattan, New York.  He was the fifth of thirteen children born to Christopher and Grace McNally.  He shared some of his fondest memories with his six brothers and six sisters growing up together on Radford Street in Yonkers.  He married Patricia Ann Duda on June 5, 1976 and together they raised their two children, Richard Michael II and Maura Jeanne in Riverdale, New York.  Rich worked tirelessly as a lineman for Con Edison, eventually earning the Chief title before going on to work as an agent for the Local 1-2 Union, to which he was eternally committed and took great pride in.  He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family – in particular traveling, listening to music, dining out and relaxing at the beach.  His most precious gifts in life were his wife, son and daughter, and his four beloved grandchildren – Richard Michael III (7), Isabelle (5), Amelie (5) and Broderick Peter (5) whom he adored and cherished.  His family and friends will greatly miss him, but he will always remain in our hearts and fondest memories.

Reposing Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm both days at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday March 26th 2018 10:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
