Robert Unger passed suddenly Tuesday, December 4, at the age of 66. Bob proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Operations Specialist Third Class. In his spare time, he spent many hours pursuing his hobby of photography. He enjoyed sharing his many beautiful photos with friends and family on Facebook and his website. He was also a musician, playing the bass in various bands when he was younger, and teaching himself piano later in life.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda. Beloved brother of Ray (Susie) and the late Kenny (Heather). Brother-in-Law to Karen McDonnell, Tommy (Lisa) Moore, Kevin Egan, and the late Andrew Moore, Laura Egan, and Jack McDonnell. Cherished Uncle to Debi (Mike), Denise (Randy), Michael, Mary (Doug), Kara (John), Heather (Blake), January (Jason), Sean (Amie), Jennifer (Adam), Kevin Jr. (Katie), Ryan and Christopher. Great Uncle to Kate, Luke, Gracie, Miles, Vivian, Ashleigh, Ryan, Riley, James, Hannah, Drew, Brady, Allison, Emma and Ashley.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, a friend to laugh with, and a talented photographer and musician. A memorial service will be held at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY on Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 4 - 8 pm.
