Rosemarie P. Doherty of Dowling Garden, Sparkill New York, formerly of Riverdale and Washington Heights New York. Beloved wife of the late Phil Doherty. Loving mother of the late John Doherty. Dear daughter of the late John and Rose Curran. Dear sister of Nancy Ryan and the late Kathleen Doherty and John Curran.
Rosemarie enjoyed a wonderful career working for City College New York and the Catholic Diocese of New York, where she made great friends. Rosie loved a good party and was usually the life of it. Mom leaves behind her forever grateful children to treasure her memory and wonder how she was able to handle all that she did. Mom’s greatest gift to us was her unconditional love.
Mom’s legacy will be kept alive through her children Phil and Eileen Doherty their children Shane, PJ and his wife Aly, Rosemary and Michael Luizzi and their children Angela, Eric, Anthony and his wife Katie, Patrick and Kim Doherty and their children Jourdan and Mike McGee, Cameron and fiancé Terrence, Ryan and Patrick, John (deceased) and Carmen Doherty and their children Michelle and Andy Papadeas, Johnny, Mike and Neil Doherty. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren Addison and Jake McGee, James Luizzi and Miles Papadeas.
Rosemarie Doherty passed away on October 6th 2018. Reposing Tuesday October 9th 2018 from 3-8 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Interment St. Raymond’s Cemetery.
