Nora Donahue

Nora (née Moran) Donahue passed away on October 19, 2018 at the age of 90. Devoted wife of the late Charles L. Donahue, whom she married in 1958. Mrs. Donahue was born in Manhattan to Michael and Nora (née Coyne) Moran. Nora and Charles moved to Riverdale in 1963. She was a devout parishioner at St. Gabriel’s Church for the past 55 years, and she was known for her enduring friendships with coworkers, neighbors, and community members. She will be remembered for her unyielding devotion to God and to her family, her sharp intellect and wit, her excellent taste, and her deep concern for everyone around her.

Beloved mother of Jean (Bart Holland), Bernadine (Kenneth Sheehan), Charles (Susan), Deirdre Williams (Gerard), Michael (Angela), and Tara Clyne (John). Cherished grandmother of Alicia and Charles Holland, Kaitlyn and Kristin Sheehan, Siobhan, Colleen, and Meaghan Donahue, Gerard Williams, and Charles, Lucy, and Joseph Donahue. Treasured sister of Patricia Quinn, John Moran, Dorothy Moran, Loretta Martinez, Frances Moran, and Bernadette Moran. Also remembered as a dear mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Reposing Monday October 22, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 am at St. Gabriel’s Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
