Neville Washington Joseph Sinclair

October 12, 2018 Jeffrey Wiecek
NevillePhoto.JPG

Neville Washington Joseph Sinclair was born January 6, 1949 in Jamaica West Indies, to Alan Lloyd Sinclair and Ina Sinclair.  He was the second oldest of six children. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. He died on October 9, 2018. Neville attended St Matthews Church where he sang in the choir. When he graduated from Mico Practicing Primary and Junior High School, he attended Excelsior College High School where he played cricket and was a phenomenal wicket keeper (this guy was like an agent from the movie Matrix), he just loved to dive into the dirt and get his clothes dirty. During his childhood, from time to time, Neville would hang out in the park with his oldest brother Ronald looking at the stars and would quote long passages from Shakespeare and Cicero in the original Latin.  Upon immigrating to the U.S., Neville attended Baruch College where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  In 1991 he received his Certification as an Information System Auditor from the EDP Auditors Association, Inc. For over 30 years, Neville worked as a Computer Security Engineer for a variety of large global firms.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his siblings Ronald (Sarah), Norman (Sandy), Norma, Donna, and Carol, Kim, his longtime best friend and love, and their son Gino; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family who loved him dearly.

Neville was a maverick, he was smart and he had the greatest sense of humor. He could joke about the most serious things in the most compassionate manner. He had a good life and he lived it the way he wanted and always knew the risks involved in his decisions.  Neville, you will be missed. We love you.

Reposing Friday October 19th 2018 from 6-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue Bronx NY. Neville will be laid to rest in Baltimore, MD, close to Kim and Gino.
