Whalen, Myles V. Jr. A life-long resident of New York he died on March 21, 2017. The son of Julia Quinn Whalen and Myles V. Whalen he was a graduate of Regis H.S., Holy Cross College and Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. A partner of Shearman & Sterling and General counsel of Consolidated Edison, his trusteeships included Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and College of New Rochelle. In retirement he found joy in painting near his home in Amagansett. A true friend to many, his philanthropy knew no bounds. Myles is survived by his sisters Julia M. Whalen and Joan W. McGauley and husband George, cherished nephew Mark W. McGauley (Leslie), dear nieces Suzanne Vide (John) and Faith Whitman (Chris) and their families.
