Helen McComiskey, also known as Lillian, passed away peacefully at home on Dec 14, 2017.  She was born in County Roscommon, Ireland on August 28, 1916.  At age 14, she left Ireland to work in England and in 1939 she emigrated to the United States where she met and married Michael McComiskey.  They enjoyed 51 years together until he predeceased her in 1993.

Helen worked for the  New York City Board of Education in the school lunch program, Best & Company, Saks Fifth Avenue, and the Baptist Home for the Aged from which she retired at age 74.  She then volunteered in local nursing homes with the St. Gabriel Church ministry.

Helen is survived by her daughter Agnes Quinn (James) and son Michael McComiskey (Julia) and cherished grandchildren, Michael McComiskey, Mari-Christina McGlinn, Nora Kaiser, and Caroline Roszkowski and great grandchildren, Maggie (11), Michael (8), Lillian (4), Anne (20 months), Ellie (11 months) & Emmet (5 months).
