Alice Hennessy (nee Normoyle) passed on November 20, 2017. Alice was born on May 1, 1939 in Co. Tipperary Ireland to Cornelious and Johannah Normoyle. She immigrated to New York in the 60's to follow her heart and marry the love of her life paddy Hennessy. Nothing was more important to her than her children and grandchildren. Her pride was displayed in her home and through her actions. She was the epitome of what it is to be a lady, from her sunglasses to her signature red nails. Mema, as her grandchildren called her, was one of kind. She is survived by her loving husband Paddy and her three children: Ann Marie, Patricia and Patrick. Her loving grandchildren are: Laura, Johanna, Gary, James, Ryan, Brianna, Mikaela, and Olivia. Alice is also survived by her brothers: John, Paddy, and Benny who reside in Ireland.
Reposing Sunday November 26th from 2-5 & 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial 9:45 am Monday at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers NY.
