Death Notice - Fallon, Elizabeth "Betty" (October 14, 1929 - April 18, 2016). Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Mother In-Law, Aunt and Friend. Elizabeth is survived by her two Sons Edward, Jr. and Arthur, Her Daughters In-Law Kathy and Susan, her Grandchildren Mary, Kathleen, Jane Hall, Christine, Artie, Jr., Kaitlin, Colleen and Michael and her first Great-Grandson, James Edward Hall, her Sister Mary and many Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
Born in Inwood in Upper Manhattan, family was always Elizabeth’s priority and main source of happiness. She cherished the many friends she made throughout her life, especially during her 30 year career at Manhattan College in the Bronx. She often said, “Manhattan is my second family”.
She was a devoted and faithful Catholic and spent much of her time praying for those in need. During her later days, she spoke of reuniting with her loved ones who went before her such as her husband Edward, her parents, Julia and Arthur McAuliffe and her siblings Arthur, Dotty, Myrtle and Julie. Her loving and generous ways will never be forgotten. She was loved dearly and will be sorely missed. May she rest in eternal peace and happiness. . Reposing Monday 2-5 & 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bx. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11 am at Manhattan College Chapel (parking in new parking garage on Manhattan College Parkway). Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
