Angelina T. Fagan

Fagan , Angelina T. (nee Bufano ) passed from this life on October 6, 2016.  On September 17, Angie celebrated her 94th birthday.  One of seven children, she was born in the Bronx to Berniero and Teresa (Santora) Bufano.  Angie attended Sts. Peter and Paul elementary school and graduated from Julia Richman High School.  She married James Fagan, her late husband of 51 years and the love of her life, in Sts. Peter and Paul Church on January 31, 1943.    Angie's priority was always those she loved,  family and friends.  A lifelong resident of the Bronx, from Washington Avenue to E. 147 St., Creston Ave., and Netherland Ave, she made many good friends who enriched her life.  She was enthusiastic and optimistic, loved social gatherings, had a quick wit, and enjoyed bingo, card games, and casino slot machines- especially when she won.  Working for many years, Angie upon retirement had more time for family activities- and even to become a lacrosse fan, to travel, to read, to participate in the senior activities at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, and to root for her Yankees.  Angie is survived by her daughter Carol (John) Harrington and son Jim (Ann) Fagan, six grandchildren, Patrick (Karolyn), John (Erica), Chris (Kyla) and Ann Harrington, Kate (Rob) Fagan and Eileen (Eric) Pragdat, as well as seven great grandchildren--Allie, Evie, Eddie,  Nora, George, Joe and Liam Harrington.  Angie also leaves behind her cousin Grace Rosenberger and brother-in-law Grant Davis, plus nieces and nephews Patty (Paul) Grazioli, Barbara (Pete) Puszcz, Michael Lauria, Lauren (Jerry) Lalancette, Paul (Nancy) Bufano, and Susan Bufano Montalto.  All will miss her -- the matriarch of her generation who was always ready with a smile and a story.  Angie joins loved ones who predeceased her -- her husband Jim, mother-in-law Catherine Fagan, aunt & uncle Eddie and Anna Fagan, her parents, and her siblings Berniero, Marie, Paul (Lee), and Mike (Jean) Bufano, Flo (Mike) Lauria, and Gloria Davis.  She remains in good company.  Reposing Tuesday 2-5 & 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson, 6110 Riverdale Ave., Bx.  Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church.  Interment St. Raymond's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Cornea Reseach Foundation of America, cornea.org would be greatly appreciated.
