Alan James Nagle

Death Notice - Alan James Nagle peacefully passed away on February 19th, 2015 at his home in Riverdale, New York at the age of 63. A true son of the city, Alan was born on August 14th, 1951, to James and Mary Nagle. He was raised on Manhattans Upper West Side with his brothers Kevin and David, where he attended Holy Trinity grammar school in Manhattan, All Hallows High School, and City College. Alan would go on to work for 34 years as a parts manager for luxury automobiles.

He would move to Inwood, Manhattan in the 1980's, where he would marry his first wife Linda Maldonado and become the proud father of Caitlin and Cordelia. After moving to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, he would marry his second wife Maureen, and become a father to his only son James.

A romantic intellectual, he had a strong passion for film, reading, and above all, his love of music. He is remembered mostly, however, as a caring and loving man and was adored by all who were fortunate enough to have met him.

Alan James Nagle is survived by his wife Maureen, his daughters Caitlin, Cordelia, and James, and his pets Cooper, Mac, Sassy, and Cat. Wake services will take place on Tuesday, February 24th at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home in Riverdale, New York from 2-5pm, and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Margaret's Church Wednesday at 9:45am on February 25th. Committal is private.
