Obituary Notice - Robert Joseph Johansen, beloved husband of Mary, died at his home in Yonkers, New York, on May 1, 2014, the day before his 92nd birthday. He is survived by his beloved wife, children, Mary Carroll, Robert (Karlam) and David (Chrisanne), and grandchildren, and his cherished brother- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The wake will be held on two separate days. The first day is Sunday May 4, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The second day will be Tuesday May 6, 2014 from 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 3 pm at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. The burial will take place Thursday morning at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers at 11 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Beacon, New York, or the Disabled American Veterans.

Anthony Scully

Death Notice - Scully, Anthony passed away on April 20, 2014 in Ireland. Loving son of Barbara (nee Meyler) and Peter Scully. Anthony was a dear brother to Mary Ann Schaefer, Peter, John, Barbara Orecchio and the late Philomenia. He was also a devoted uncle and friend to many.

Lawrence Kennedy

Death Notice - Kennedy, Lawrence passed away on April 21, 2014 at the age of 92. He was a proud Marine Corp. Veteran and passed Commander of the Riverdale American Legion. Lawrence is the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth. Loving father of Carol Blake, Thomas and Kevin. He will also be remembered as a devoted grandfather and friend to many.

The wake will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, New York.

The burial with military honors will take place in Yonkers at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Fr. Fabian Lopez

Obituary Notice - Fr. Fabian Lopez passed away at Calvary Hospital on April 21, 2014 at the age of 47.  Fr. Fabian was ordained with the Class of 1999 and was the Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in NYC. He is survived by his loving parents Nora and Eulalio Lopez. He will be also be remembered as a dear brother to Orlando, John Eric and Brenda.

The wake will be held Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 5-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx NY. On Wednesday the wake will be from 1:30 - 7:30 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on West 142nd Street in Manhattan.  A Mass of the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated by Most Reverend Gerald T. Walsh at 7:30 pm following the wake at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan on Thursday April 24, 2014 at 10 am with the burial to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
