The Reverend Antimo Fiorillo passed peacefully on March 14th, 2018 at the age of 97 at Edward Cardinal Egan Pavilion, St. John Vianney Clergy Residence in the Bronx, New York.

Antimo is the eldest son of Maria Guarino and Santo Fiorillo and one of 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  He is survived by his two sisters, Rosa and Nunzia.  Antimo was born in 1921 in the town of Sant’ Antimo, in the province of Naples, Italy. He received a PhD in theology from Pontifico San Luigi Seminary in Naples, Italy.  At the young age of 22 he received special dispensation from Pope Pius XII to be ordained into the priesthood.  In 1945 he emigrated to the United States and settled in New York. Father Fiorillo served as pastor, at both Santa Maria Parish in the Bronx, NY and St. Lucy Parish in East Harlem, NY. Father Fiorillo will be remembered for his devotion and dedication to his parishioners, friends and family.

Father Fiorillo's wake Monday on March 19, 2018 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am will be held at the O'Connor Residence Chapel in Riverdale, Bronx, New York.  The funeral Mass will follow at 10 am and will be held by his Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York.
