It is with great sadness that the family of Kuria J. Tharakan announces his passing on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at the age of 73 years. Kuria grew up in Shertallay, India and studied engineering at the College of Engineering in Trivrandrum. He came to the United States in 1973 and obtained an MBA at Baruch College. He worked as a computer systems analyst for the Government of New York City until his retirement.

Kuria is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tessie, and his children, Elizabeth, Theresa, and Joseph. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Mary and Theresa and by his brothers and sisters-in law Joseph, Simon, Sebastian, and Mary. Kuria will also be forever remembered by his 9 nieces and nephews as well as his extended family and dear friends.
