Riverdale — Albert Giamburro, 78, died Thursday, May 11, 2017.  He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Giamburro) Caetano; his sisters, Mary, Tessie, Anntonette, and RoseMarie; his brothers, Tommy and John; and many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong resident of The Bronx, he was raised in the Arthur Avenue section, the son of Guiseppe and Anna Giamburro.  A veteran, he was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his tireless work ethic and his sense of humor.  He enjoyed his doo-wop music, old war movies, John Wayne cowboy flicks and Manhattan Special coffee soda.  Although he enjoyed teasing those he loved, he will always be remembered for his generosity and his selfless spirit. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home.
