Virginia "Skippy" Foley passed away on September 15th at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Francis P. Foley Sr. Loving mother to Janet, Margaret, Francis Jr., Kitty, Patricia, Patrick and Jacqueline. Devoted grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother John Ashley.

Virginia was always full of surprises. You could find her eating M&Ms or liverwurst and onions on rye and drinking whiskey sours. She enjoyed celebrating the Christmas season all year long and her house was always filled with knick-knacks and Elvis memorabilia. She devoted fifteen years to working for the NYC Board of Education and spent all of her free time with her family and friends and walking around the city that she loved.

Reposing Tuesday September 20th , 9-11 am at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY. followed by a prayer service and burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
