Marion Theresa Ostrander passed away Wednesday August 3rd in Riverdale ,Bronx NY. She was 96 years old. Marion was the daughter of the late George F. Endlich, Sr. and Adeline Endlich. She was born March 4, 1920 in Manhattan. She was the sister of the late Edwin P. Endlich and late George F. Endlich Jr.

She attended Walton H.S. and graduated in 1938. She married the late Douglas L. Ostrander Sr. at Our Lady of Angels Church in the Bronx in 1942. She was the mother of Peter J. Ostrander (Eileen) of Riverdale and Douglas L. Ostrander (Lynn) of Round Top, NY. She was the grandmother of James Ostrander (Jinnette) and Kate Ostrander both of Riverdale and Douglas Ostrander (Phoenix, AZ), Tracy (Round Top, NY), Dennis (SC) and Timothy (Blauvelt, NY). She was great -grandmother of Cameron of Riverdale and 10 other great grandchildren.

Marion was retired from Lehman College where she worked in the Bursar’s office. She was active most of her life in the Our Lady of Angels Parish. She moved to Riverdale in December 1999 and participated in the St. Margaret’s Leisure Club. For almost 10 years (2005-2014), Marion was a participant in the Riverdale Senior Center Adult Day Care program.

A wake will be held at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 8th at 9:45 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church.
